Tresys Expands Product Suite to Support Customized Policy Development

Maryland–September 27, 2007 – Tresys Technology, a leader in security technology innovation
and services and a primary contributor to Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux), today announced the release of the Tresys BedrockTM Development
Toolkit - a fully-supported SELinux policy development environment.
SELinux, the best operating system security technology available, provides a rich set of security functions to ensure that applications are
secured at the kernel level. IT administrators often lack the expertise needed to effectively generate security policies for specific
applications or customized systems. Tresys Bedrock solves this problem by providing out-of-the-box policies that can be easily customized
for specific needs. Using Tresys Bedrock, some of the key tasks developers can perform include the following:

Develop security policy modules, either for a specific application or a
complete system;

Generate strict or targeted policies - thereby protecting all or selected
processes; and

Test and debug your policy and application using integrated tools.
Tresys Bedrock is an Eclipse plug-in that can integrate
with other application development environments. Support is currently provided for Red Hat Enterprise Linux with
MontaVista Mobilinux planned in Q4 2007.

An introductory, 1-day class that defines the basics of SELinux security and demonstrates how to write a basic
security policy module for your applications.

An advanced, 3-day class that provides engineers and developers an in-depth overview of all aspects
of SELinux policy development.
