Tresys Technology Announces the
Release of Version 2.0 of the CDS Framework IDE for SELinux
Columbia,
Maryland–June 5, 2007 – Tresys Technology, a leader in
security technology innovation and services and a primary contributor
to Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux), has released Version 2.0 of the
CDS Framework Toolkit integrated development environment (IDE), an open
source software package specifically designed for developers of cross
domain solutions (CDS) and other network perimeter defense solutions.
This new version of the toolkit
provides a graphical interface to the high-level CDS Framework
language, allowing CDS developers to draw the desired solution and
generate corresponding SELinux type enforcement policy. Using this
toolkit, the designer can focus on creating the best security
architecture for the CDS without needing to know the intricacies of
SELinux security policy concepts.
The CDS Framework Toolkit addresses a popular application of SELinux,
specifically high-end network security filters that isolate and control
the information flow of sensitive networks. It complements many other
open source projects developed by Tresys for the secure Linux
community, including the SELinux policy development IDE (SLIDE).
Tresys has
extensive experience developing cross domain solutions and other
applications using SELinux. For more information about the CDS
Framework Toolkit and other SELinux technologies, visit

SELinux tools created by Tresys, see oss.tresys.com.
