Tresys Technology Announces the Release of the
SELinux Integrated Development Tool (SLIDE) Preview 3
Columbia, Maryland– October 25, 2006 – Tresys Technology has released their third preview version of SLIDE, an integrated development environment (IDE) for Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux) developers and integrators. SLIDE provides features to make the task of SELinux policy development and debugging easier, by providing wizards to automate common tasks, and by providing developer-friendly features. SLIDE is designed for use with the Reference Policy, another open source project by Tresys that has become the standard SELinux security policy.
This release of SLIDE provides new features to make the task of writing, testing, and debugging SELinux policies easier. SLIDE now provides the option to install the policy under development onto a remote machine for testing and integrates remote audit monitoring, thereby facilitating policy debugging.
SLIDE is just one of several Tresys-developed open source technologies for SELinux. For more information on SLIDE and other SELinux technologies, visit www.tresys.com/selinux.
